AgImpacts is a team of ten first-years at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology — Max J. Burns, Anushree Chaudhuri, Yeji Cho, Nicole E. Harris, Remi O. Harrison, Sydney Paige Kim, Katherine LiYue Pan, Evan Seeyave, Daniel L. Tong, and Daniela L. Vallejo. Our project was mentored by Dr. Emily Moberg and Dr. Gabriela Serrato Marks.
Brought together from across the country by our passion for environmental science and justice, the team was formed and connected to the World Wildlife Fund through the first-year learning community Terrascope in conjunction with MIT's experiential learning program. Due to extenuating circumstances of the pandemic, we tackled this project fully remotely, stationed across the country — and at one point, the entire globe.
For more insight on our perspectives within the team, read our reflections here.
This project was conducted by first-year undergraduate students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from September 2020 through January 2021 with support from MIT’s Office of Experiential Learning, MIT Terrascope, and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
